Sausage Diavolo – Neapolitan Style Pizza only at Capo’s Pizza Geneva
Capo’s Pizza in has new boxes.
Weekend Pairings: Diavolo & Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale.
Feeling adventurous? Feel the need to try something new? Do you like hot food and hopped up IPAs? Our Diavolo Neapolitan style pizza offers the right amount heat for those who like it. (Think hot Summer day.) It features roasted banana peppers, fresh mozzarella, olive oil, ground sausage, San Marzano tomato sauce seasoned with crushed red pepper. The seasoned San Marzano Sauce offers a bit of sweetness & heat that goes well the ground sausage and creamy fresh mozzarella. Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ (LSS) is a heavily hopped wheat ale. LSS is very refreshing, and is sharply carbonated giving it pointed feel. At 7.5% ABV LSS is not a heavy, finishes smooth, and only one or two are needed. If hot isn’t your thing, Lagunitas LSS also would pair well with our All Meat pizza, stuffed peppers, bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers, fried pickles or fried banana pepper rings appetizers, and pizza with Pepperoni & mild banana peppers.
A slice story. Every Wednesday in January & February @ Capo’s Geneva!
One of my first slices of pizza came from my Grandfather Frank Capo Sr.’s pizza shop at Geneva on the Lake. It’s an experience you can’t forget. First, the slice of pizza is ginormous. The slice of pizza is so large that it almost forces you to be seated in order to enjoy it. Second, they’re served very hot, straight out of the oven. There’s something about a hot slice of cheesy pizza that hypnotizes you. Then convinces you to burn your mouth on it, but the sounds of the Lake Erie waves crashing and sunshine soothes the pain and you find yourself in line to get another slice.
I’m not saying all this because I am a Capo. I say it because I truly believe we make some of the best pizza in the area. When I was a kid, we would go on short trips to visit my father’s family, or just to get away. On these trips, my dad, Tony Sr. would always order pizza. Not to see what other places were doing, but because, we love pizza! We had some good pizzas on those trips but nothing compared to my Grandfather’s pizza.
Pizza is a food that brings all ages & family together for any occasion.
Capo’s Pizza Holiday Beer lineup
Hello there! I’m Tony Capo Jr. and if you’ve ever been in Capo’s Pizza Geneva you’d recognize me as the tall guy wearing an apron, running around the restaurant. Chances are, if you’ve eaten in our dining room for lunch, I was your server. Most likely I’ve made your pizza or grinder. The website you’re reading right now? I built it. I’m writing this today because of our new beer and wine offerings at Capo’s Pizza 2. We now offer craft beer from breweries all over America, including Ohio! While craft beer may at first sound pretentious, it’s a well earned designation. Like Capo’s Pizza, these Craft Breweries take great pride in their products and use the best ingredients.
It was hard work, but I’m proud to say I’ve personally tried each of our new beers. Our newest offerings (except one) are all considered to be in the style of an India Pale Ale (IPA). IPAs are heavily hopped beers, hops being the ingredient that gives the style it’s disntinctive flavor. Each IPA uses their own selection of hops, from the scent of pine to citrus notes IPAs are good for any weather. Capo’s Pizza’s craft offerings are available by the bottle in the dining room and to go:
• Green Flash: West Coast IPA (San Diego, California)
• Bell’s: Two Hearted Ale (Kalamazoo, Michigan)
• Lagunitas: Lil Sumpthin’ Ale (Pomona, California)
• Southern Tier: 2XIPA (Lakewood, New York)
Craft Non-IPA offering:
• Thirsty Dog: Twelve Dogs of Christmas Ale (Akron, Ohio)
Both our wines and craft beers are available to go. Capo’s Pizza carries many of the Ferrante Family of wines, including:
- Holiday Blush
- Rosso
- American Reisling
- Pinot Grigio
- Vidal Blanc
- Jester’s Blush
- Cranberry Blanc
- Strawberry Blanc
- Pink Catawba
- And more….
We also feature some great reds, such as:
- Gnarly Head Merlot
- Gnarly Head Old Vine Zin (Semi Sweet)
- Placido Chiante (Italy)
- Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet (California)
Capo’s Pizza + Craft Beer = Win!
Capo’s Pizza will soon have four of the best India Pale Ales that are made in America. Each IPA will be available either by the bottle (for dining in) or to go by the six pack. Not only are we offering four of the best IPAs available but we’ll also have Akron’s Thirsty Dog Brewery’s 12 Dogs of Christmas Ale & Lagunitas easy drinking Lil’ Sumpthin’! Some of the best craft beer offerings in America will be available at Capo’s Pizza.
